Book and Bear Night
Primary One and Two children had fun during Book and Bear Night, listening to stories, having a sing- along and not forgetting Kathleen scrumptious teddy bear biscuits.
Primary 7 Visit Stormont
Our Primary Seven children enjoyed a great day out during their visit to Stormont on Tuesday 15th January. We would like to thank James who was their guide for the day. The children got the opportunity to visit the Assembly Chamber and got to have a debate on school uniforms. We would also like to thank Philip McGuigan who took the time speak to the children and have a question and answer session with them.
Schools' Programme- Cancer Focus Northern Ireland
Tuesday 15th January
Genevieve from Cancer Focus visited P1 and P2 children to deliver a very important message about healthy eating and physical activity. Genevieve encouraged her friends to get healthy in order to win the Farmyard Olympics. P3 children became 'Fit Factor Superheroes' while p4 children became 'Food Detectives' when investigating the content of processed foods detecting their fat, sugar and salt content.
MS Award Luncheon
On Wednesday 9th January Mr McGuckian and a few of our pupils attended an MS award luncheon which was held in recognition of our schools fundraising. The event took place at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Belfast. Thank you again to everyone for their support for this very worthy cause.
